Jason is the CTO of Rumie and joined Rumie in early 2014.
“I proposed to my fiancee earlier than planned after a whale jumped out of the water right in front of us.”
Jason, a techie at heart, started programming at age ten. His first commercial project, started at the age of 15, is still being used today. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Computer Science, and two years later founded Syllogistic Software, focusing on the transition from desktop software to web-based apps.
After completing an MBA at Wilfrid Laurier University, he took his company remote and moved to New Zealand, where he got his pilot’s license and started flying as a hobby. Since then, Jason has travelled the globe while building complex, customized software with a remotely distributed team. These days he is back in Canada – leading work on Rumie’s technology backend infrastructure.
