Kiethen Sutherland

“I always get selected for special screening at airports because of the screw on my hip.”

Kiethen Sutherland is Indigenous Education Associate. He is originally from Kashechewan First Nation, located on the traditional territory of the Omushkegowuk people located on the west coast of James Bay on the shores of the Albany River. Kiethen currently resides in North Bay Ontario and have recently graduated from Nipissing University with a Honours Degree in History.

Kiethen believes that the Rumie Initiative will help with the revitalization of indigenous languages, and help with the learning of indigenous histories.
